Machine turned from brass or stainless steel, the Wingback Mechanical Pen has been designed to last for decades, not months and help its owner rediscover the joy of putting pen to paper. With a wide 10mm (3/8 Inch) diameter and knurled grip, it sits comfortably in the hand to reduce writing fatigue while the satisfying weight of its materials encourages more time to be taken with every pen stroke.
Personalisation of 50 characters available, laser engraved onto the barrel, for an additional £10. Please note, all inscriptions use capital letters.
Taking a stand against the disposable culture of fast fashion, Wingback designs products they believe will change the way consumers – and manufacturers – behave; by creating cherished items that will last a lifetime.
The Wingback Mechanical Pen, epitomises their "buy once" philosophy. Machine turned from brass or stainless steel, it has been designed to last for decades, not months and help its owner rediscover the joy of putting pen to paper.
With a wide 10mm (3/8 Inch) diameter and knurled grip, it sits comfortably in the hand to reduce writing fatigue while the satisfying weight of its materials encourages more time to be taken with every pen stroke.
We can laser engrave up to 50 characters on the barrel to your specification, enough space for your initials, name or a personal quote to make your pen a little bit extra special.
Over 25 iterations has honed in on this design. A larger diameter barrel means your hand won't fatigue as quickly as gripping a narrower pen and the knurled barrel provides good purchase for your fingers. The satisfying weight of the pen also acts as a gentle reminder to take more time over your writing and drawing, achieving a neater result.
Brass: 56g / 1.98 oz
The heavier of the two, the brass pen will develop a unique patina as its surface oxidises and interacts with the natural oils in your hands. This pen will quickly look like a timeless tool, but can easily be polished up to its original lustre.
Stainless Steel 304: 50g / 1.76 oz
Slightly lighter than brass, stainless steel has a harder surface and will not oxidise over time. This means it will maintain its crisp aesthetic indefinitely.
At the end of the day, a pen is only as good as the cartridge that you use. That's why the Wingback X works with Fisher Space Pens*. The PR refill is a pressurised cartridge with a tungsten carbide tip. Every pen comes with a PR4 (medium, black) refill. It lasts three times longer than alternatives and provides an unparalleled smoothness with every pen stroke.

The product is made in the UK using local trusted suppliers, with metal designs that are custom made from start to finish. Each one is individually inspected and tested to ensure it will withstand the test of time. The manufacturing partner make predominantly aerospace components and have BS EN AS 9100 accreditation.
The pen is designed to be as compact as possible to fit discreetly into a bag or pocket, but long enough to sit comfortably in the crook of your hand while writing. The wide diameter makes it comfortable to use for long periods and strong enough to last a lifetime.
